LYFS- Local Youth & Family Service is working LYFS is a voluntary community managed service for children, young people and the families of Donegal. LYFS aims- To benefit the community of Letterkenny and Donegal by the establishment, running, organising and managing of youth and family services, which promotes general and personal development by providing opportunities to develop physical, mental and social needs through the medium of learning experiences, programmes and projects. To provide needs-based youth and family support service focusing on the individual and the family and particularly to those individuals and families who do not presently access services and are at risk and/or experiencing disadvantage. Working in partnership with statutory, non-statutory agencies to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to addressing the needs of those people. It will provide the necessary support, education and guidance to young people and their families assisting them to move into a more positive position for their futures.
