Anesis provides food, clothing, and hygiene packs for upto 230 people every Sunday afternoon between 2.30-3.30pm, underneath the Coventry flyover. Our homeless service users are prioritised but no one is turned away. We believe in faith expressing itself through love. We also provide food parcels for Tuesday Drop In at North Point Church, Coventry, between 10am-12pm. This space welcomes members of the local community to have fellowship with one another whilst enjoying a hot drink and snack, before leaving with a food parcel. We are mostly known via word of mouth, but also receive referrals from GPs, churches, or local schools. Emergency food parcels are arranged for individuals and families on a referral and need basis. We are a small team of 20 volunteers, 10 of which serve regularly. We partner with many other local charities and have great relationships with the stores that provide food surplus. We serve a diverse population of all genders, ages, abilities, and ethnicities. The number of service users has doubled in the past 2 years. We supply fresh fruits, vegetables and bread, as well as long life products. We also make packed lunches for our homeless service users. Hygiene packs, bedding and clothing are also made available. We are currently in need of a social media volunteer manager, surplus collection driver or assistant, sandwich maker, fundraiser/grant specialist, and those who wish to serve on Sundays.

We distribute surplus food to help families, elderly and homeless and anyone in need of the surplus stock due to cost of living and poverty. We have a what’s app chat and support people from olio and we welcome new users to join our group chat every week if they need food. I collect surplus food from Tesco, Asda and kfc and this goes to helping a lot of people We don’t charge as all food we get is free so we pass it on to help others. Our group are a scout group and we help young people make friends gain valuable skills and help with donations when we go to elderly homes or homeless shelters. We do a lot of charity work outside of scouting times as well. The young people love helping us to deliver the food parcels and pack them

We are a volunteer-led community fridge, located in the Children and Family Centre on Granville Road, Hinckley, LE100PP. This Fridge is open to the public three days a week; Tuesday's and Thursday's, 10-11am, and Fridays 2-3pm. PLEASE CHECK OUR FACEBOOK PAGE OR CALL THE CENTRE FOR MOST UP-TO-DATE OPENING TIMES. We are universally open to all members of the local community. There is no requirement to provide letters, vouchers or referrals. Please just come along and take what you need. Also, we’re looking to further embed the Fridge into the local community by recruiting volunteers to support with collecting donations and managing the fridge. Anyone over the age of 16 can apply for the role and training, including food safety, will be provided.
