How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Cadent has donated volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

A Gift To Lift

Hinckley, UK

A Gift To Lift was set up by Alex Hopwood in 2014. Alex set up the charity whilst going through harsh treatment for Leukaemia. She started by creating Jewellery and headbands that could be sold as gifts to help provide other patients with a little lift. Also the money raised from the sales of these handmade products went towards giving wishes to blood cancer patients. Alex received chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and two bone marrow transplants, but Alex unfortunately lost her battle on December 15th 2014. Alex assigned close friends and family to carry out the roles of trustees of the charity, and so today A Gift To Lift continues to raise money to support blood cancer patients, donate towards blood cancer research, and to work towards Alex's dream of buying a holiday home in Norfolk for blood cancer patients to spend quality time with their loved ones. We welcome and appreciate all of your support no matter how big or small.

Merrydale Junior School

Leicester, UK

We are a Year 3 to 6 primary school with 360 children from a diverse area of Leicester. Our school has a friendly environment where we encourage community partnership to develop our pupil's aspirations and sense of belonging. We are currently developing our outside area to promote the benefits of being outside for improving the local area. We would like to improve our garden area and play equipment for our pupils to enjoy the outdoors through play and Forest School activities. In order for us to achieve this we require keen volunteers to revamp the area through gardening, painting and general repairs.
