How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Cadent has donated volunteer time, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Sparkhill Foodbank

Birmingham, UK

Through providing emergency food to local people in crisis, we aim to provide a breathing space to help them deal with our clients' underlying issues. We provide food but equally important to us is the provision of support and care for our clients' situations. This may range from making appointments for our Money Advice Worker with help for debt and money management, job search and benefits queries; to referrals to our Domestic Abuse Support Worker, our Carer Support Project and Resource Centre for Asylum Seekers and refugees. Every item of food has been donated by the local community and we are supported by a small army of volunteers. We also provide bread, pastries and some fresh fruit and vegetables when available in addition to toiletries, household products and pet food.

Solihull And District Hebrew Congregation

Solihull, UK

The Solihull Thursday Club operates a facility where senior citizens received freshly cooked hot meals and participated in stimulating activities. Due to COVID-19 we had to close our centre and move to a remote operation. We have now re-opened and have continued to provide off site support as well as our in house activities. We deliver meals and provide support and programming to vulnerable elderly people. We also maintain a community centre open to use by the local community.
