How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

We provide shelter and food to the homeless and lonely over the Christmas holiday. The shelter is held at Queens Road Baptist Church. We have been helping the homeless and lonely for many years and we hope to make it really special. We will again be open for 24 hours a day across Christmas week. This is a great benefit to our visitors, especially given the low temperatures of the last few winters. As you may appreciate, this requires extra resources to make this happen; primarily we need additional volunteers but also donations of cash, food, bedding and clothes. If you, or anyone you know, would like to help us to make a difference this Christmas then please contact us.
