Our mission: Generation Supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into career-launching roles within high-growth industries. We provide free intensive technical bootcamps and employability support to unemployed people who have faced barriers to work through no fault of their own. >70% of learners are from ethnic minorities and >40% from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Volunteering role: We are seeking volunteers to support with carrying out mock interviews for students. Mock interviews (over Zoom) are a chance for Generation learners to hone their interview skills before being matchmade for interviews with hiring employers upon graduation. Time requirement: Sessions typically occur between 9:20-11:30am, on a weekday. Training: Ahead of your first volunteering session you will need to complete a one-off training module and quiz. It takes 30mn and you can complete it in your own time. Format: You’ll conduct 3-4 mock interviews with learners.
