B&Q Frome

Hayesdown First School is a welcoming, community‑focused primary school in Frome, supporting children from Reception to Year 4. We are passionate about providing enriching learning experiences that nurture confidence, creativity and a love of the outdoors. As part of The Partnership Trust, we work closely with families and our local community to ensure every child has the best possible start to their education. We are seeking support from local businesses to help us enhance our outdoor learning and Forest School provision. Many of our resources are ageing or in short supply, and additional materials would allow us to create richer, safer and more engaging experiences for our children. Access to high‑quality outdoor learning has a huge impact on pupils’ wellbeing, confidence, and teamwork skills. With your help—whether through donated materials, funding, or volunteering—we can continue to offer hands‑on opportunities that inspire curiosity, support mental health, and help children develop a deeper connection with nature.

We are a relatively small village school set on the outskirts of Bristol/Bath.

We distribute surplus food to our families for free, helping to fill stomachs and reduce waste. Where needed we also supply pre-loved uniform, shoes etc. We are always looking for donations of wheeled things for play- suitcases, scooters, pushchairs and things to help us build dens- pallets, tyres, tubes. We can use most things!
