How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Pulp Friction CIO

Nottingham, UK

Pulp Friction Smoothie Bar CIO is a charity that employs and supports Learning Disabled and Autistic adults. We train our members to prepare, cook and serve fresh food at our Community Cafe at Bestwood Park Church and our canteen at the Joint Nottinghamshire Police and Fire Headquarters. We run regular SuperKitchen social eating events in community venues and offer a small outside catering service. Our Members also run our pedal-powered smoothie bars at public events and in public places. Based in Nottingham, we take our smoothie bar to local events, schools, youth clubs, trade fairs and more. Customers can make their own smoothies whilst having fun and getting some exercise! All our members work at their own pace and to their own strengths in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. With your help, we will continue developing their work-readiness, social and independence skills. We need food donations, money to buy aprons and uniforms, as well as willing volunteers to work alongside our members or give us IT support. Thank you!

The Bridge Notts CIC

Nottingham, UK

Our mission is to combat food poverty throughout Nottinghamshire and empower individuals by enhancing their life skills, particularly through cooking. By providing access to nutritious food and the opportunity to learn valuable cooking skills, we aim to foster greater food security and resilience in our community. The Bridge Notts is dedicated to delivering initiatives like our breakfast clubs, which bring warmth, nourishment, and connection to elderly residents in Nottingham’s independent living schemes. Additionally, our Munch Clubs provide a welcoming hub for families, offering them a comfortable, warm space where they can enjoy a free or low-cost nutritious meal together. To keep these vital programmes running, we rely on generous food donations from local businesses, organisations, and individuals. These contributions are essential to ensure we have a steady supply of ingredients to serve our community and to expand our reach to even more families and individuals facing food insecurity. With your support, we can continue making a real difference in the lives of those who need it most, creating a more connected and resilient Nottinghamshire. In addition to food donations, we welcome volunteers to help with preparing, cooking, and serving meals. Financial contributions are also valuable to fund the purchase of staple ingredients, cover operational costs, and maintain our facilities. Together, we can work towards a community where everyone has access to healthy food and the skills to make the most of it.
