Supporting families across the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas since March 2018 to reduce costs and save money, reduce waste and the amount that goes to landfill and finally, create a stronger community spirit. At Mamas Bristol, we believe in the power of community and collective action to create positive change. Our ethos is rooted in a multiple pronged approach; affordability, sustainability, and inclusivity across the community. That's why we promote and work towards sustainable practices & promote opportunities that minimise waste and environmental impact.  Community: At the heart of everything we do, is a strong sense of community. We believe in the strength of solidarity and collaboration to address common challenges and achieve shared goals. By fostering connections and building relationships, we create a support network where families can find solidarity, encouragement, and inspiration. We are more than just a Facebook group, an organisation or any one person - we are a movement. A movement dedicated to making a difference in the lives of families, our communities, and the world we share.

Our objective is to help families and individuals alleviate food poverty and assist those experiencing debt. A person or family is eligible for referral to the food bank for help if, for whatever reason, their combined household income is not enough to cover essential living expenses, i.e. housing costs, utility bills, healthcare and food. The amount of food provided is based on individual circumstances. We ensure that clients do not become ‘long term dependent’ on us, however we will provide long term support as part of an overall process to address the underlying causes of the poverty crisis. We want everyone who comes to us to know that we really appreciate them and we are honoured to be able to help.

Hi I’m Claire I’m running a food donation cupboard for surplus food from my home address for my community which is Rossett burton and lavister in Wrexham and the border of England there is a population of 3500 people in this village alone and plenty of single people Upto family’s are really struggling even more at this very moment .. I’m fairly new with my new cupboard to share free food or food boxes to people who are in need and to ensure people have a meal daily also to cut down waste going to landfill which is a extra bonus I have set up a Facebook page for people of any requirements that are struggling to get in touch with us or pass any details we will be looking at delivering once a week to elderly when we have contact details in place that don’t use social media for instance I shall be making up flyers and contact cards to give people peace of mind to arrange the help for them with no charge in place.
