Bs3 community development association is a local charity supporting community development, providing Food projects (weekly Food Club and Community Cupboard), Community Connectors, emotional and wellbeing support, a nursery & pre-school, out-of-school clubs for children, toddler group, day opportunity service for older people, rooms available for clubs, classes, local business & others, a cafe & catering service.

National Food Service Bristol tackles food insecurity, social isolation and food waste by creating user-lead social eating projects. During this crisis we have transitioned to food delivery. In the last 3 weeks we've launched a direct food phone line and delivery service. Though there are many local food services working through this crisis, there are still areas of the city with little provision. We fill gaps. Our data and volunteer management systems have been co-produced by our directors. The efficiency of these systems means we are able to quickly and safely scale up to meet rising demand and the crisis continues. We need more funding to buy supplies including food containers for our meals, cleaning supplies to keep our volunteers safe and larger equipment such as another freezer. We are seeing an increase in demand from users of safe houses, for which we have created a safe process that anonomises their data and is allocated to a vetted social worker team that can cater to safety plans. In order to cook and package food we are working across 3 venues, Baggator, Buzz Lockleaze and Lockleaze Sports Centre. Packaging at Baggator is supported by the Super Supper Club, who are a regular supper club already working in the space. The team at Buzz, owned by North Bristol Advice Centre, help us to cook and package deliveries in their community cafe. From our phone line we also refer people on to receive veg boxes from Base and Roses, The Plough/Easton Cowgirls/Cowboys, and FoodCycle. In addition, we refer people for other support available through ACORN, including shopping trips and meter top ups. In addition to the food we cook ourselves we also distribute food prepared by Cafe Kino, Whitehall Primary School, Jamaica St Stores, COEXIST, Thali Cafe, The Plough and Bristol Food Union. We are taking referrals from support organisations including The Marmalade Trust, Bromford, One 25, Keyring, Second Step, Beloved and Bristol City Council. Bristol City Council have us listed as an emergency support organisation.
