The busiest Food Bank in the London Borough of Waltham Forest, serving over 90 households each Saturday. Our demand for services has increased dramatically since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and we are reaching out to the community for support. We are assisted by over 40 local volunteers, which provide a valuable support in preparing food bags for in-person collection and delivery to local residents that are not able to travel to the food bank.

Peabody’s Pantry launched in August 2020 and is a branch of the national Your Local Pantry network. This network of community food stores was set up to provide a sustainable and long-term solution to food poverty and to help households save money on their weekly shop. The pantry is designed to support households who ever struggle to pay rent, utility bills or other essential items, who have had to reduce their weekly shopping budget in the past 3 months or who run out of money towards the end of the week. Members of the pantry pay £4.50 each time they visit and choose at least 10 items from the store, which add up to approximately £15.00. This could lead to a yearly saving of £600 on weekly shopping bills.

A charity helping the community for over 13 years. Making a difference for those with No Recourse to Public Funds forgotten in a broken system. The charity is currently providing food support to over a thousand individuals and families per week.
