Tottenham Foodbank

London, UK

The foodbank helps individuals and families in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies. The circumstances surrounding a crisis are unique to every individual, so we partner with frontline care professionals, such as health visitors, social workers and other community-based support workers, who are able to identify and refer people facing hunger to the foodbank. As well as receiving nutritionally-balanced 3 day food parcels, people are welcomed with a cup of tea, listened to and signposted to agencies that are able to help resolve the underlying cause of the problem. Our foodbank is part of The Trussell Trust’s UK foodbank network, which last year collected more than 10,000 tonnes of food and gave over 1,084,604 three days’ food supplies to people in crisis of which over 396,000 went to children. A large proportion of this food came from Harvest collections throughout the UK, each providing for their local foodbank. Can you help? To donate food - please drop your food parcel off at Tottenham Town Hall, N15 4RY Monday to Friday between 11.30am and 5pm. Please press buzzer labelled Freedom’s Ark.
