COOH helps children, young people and families across Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth and Greenwich strengthen their wellbeing, confidence and stability through trusted community programmes and practical support.
Come Out of Hiding – The Lighthouse Network CIC (COOH) is a Christian organisation and we welcome and serve people of all faiths and no faith. Founded in 2015 and incorporated as a Community Interest Company in 2018, we provide safe, welcoming spaces where people can connect, receive support, learn new skills and take part in opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.
Our programmes include:
• Let’s Get Messy – creative, wellbeing and movement activities for children aged 3–10.
• STEPs: Let’s Level Up – mentoring, employability, enterprise, financial capability, leadership and life-skills activities for young people aged 11–17.
• Let’s Get Moving – physical activities, community trips and family experiences.
• Let’s Talk – mental and emotional wellbeing conversations and safe spaces.
• Let’s Get Fed – food, basic essentials and practical support for households experiencing hardship.
• Let’s Be Light (for those who choose this) – Christian leadership, volunteering and community social action.
We also provide community drop-ins, family forums, community meals, seasonal holiday activities, employer visits, work experience and signposting to other services. Our whole-family approach recognises that children and young people are more likely to thrive when their parents, carers and wider household are also supported.
COOH has delivered more than 6,700 participant hours and has built trusted relationships with local residents, community organisations, NHS services, housing providers, businesses and funders.
The support we need most includes surplus food, toiletries, household essentials, school supplies, clothing, refreshments and materials for our activities. We also welcome volunteers who can support youth and children’s sessions, community drop-ins, food distribution, mentoring, employability workshops, events, administration, fundraising, communications and professional advice.
Financial donations help us respond when a family needs urgent assistance, cover activities and travel for children and young people, provide welcoming community sessions and ensure trained staff and volunteers are available to deliver our work safely.

Your Place is a charity dedicated to solving homelessness in east London, one person at a time. We’re here to offer hope, a home and a healing place to grow, where people who’ve lost their homes can get the individual support they need within a safe, caring community.
We work closely with each person who comes through our doors, guiding them to meet their own needs through one-to-one and peer-led support. With specialist teams and a compassionate community around them, residents make their own journey to independent living — and to a better place.
Your Place is based in the East London borough of Newham, which has the highest levels of homelessness in the country. The demand on our services is increasing, and each year, we support hundreds of individuals on their journey away from homelessness for good through accommodation, personalised support related to education and training, health and wellbeing, employability, budgeting and securing and sustaining a tenancy.
"Your Place is more than just a roof over my head; it's a community that has given me hope, support, and a chance to start a new chapter in my life." - Halima

LONELINESS, ISOLATION AND HUNGER HAVE NO POST-CODE BOUNDARIES!
RMUK Food and Well-being First, deliver emergency food support to extremely vulnerable and at-risk households in Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark. We deliver fresh fruits vegetables, culturally appropriate foods to African and Caribbean households and the wider community. We then follow up individual requests for support by offering a listening ear, signposting to the right local organization, or source items that are needed. We are a friendly socially distanced, befriending service and offer care and kindness to those who are lonely, isolated, and just want a short conversation.
Before COVID 19, we organized family fun days, educational exhibitions, film nights, trips out, cooking, and various educational workshops. We have moved most of these to online for now and people having a great time meeting new friends, socializing, and feeling more engaged.

During this Covid pandemic, some food prices increased, and this has put a strain on members of our community and those who care for other family members. There are several groups of people who are at a greater risk of vitamin D deficiency during the COVID 19 Pandemic. Our volunteers are magnificent! Each week they lovingly compile and then deliver groceries, toiletries, books, toys, and flowers to our service users.
PLEASE HELP US TO SUPPORT OUR HOUSEHOLDS who have been struggling to get healthy nutritious food AND support for themselves..
