How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

We have been actively running a Pantry based in Greater Pollok with over 1000 member to date. The Pantry is struggling to keep up with the demand and could do with any help it can get. It means families can access food in a dignified manner as they get to choose the items that they actually want instead of getting food that is no use.

Shakespeare Street Youth Club Health & Wellbeing Club

Glasgow, UK

Here at Shakespeare Street Youth Club, we value the importance of teaching young people key life skills to help them in the future, even after they are no longer attending. Cooking, food hygiene, safety and storage are a few areas which we cover in our weekly Cooking Group. Our group is available to anyone between the ages of 8-14 who wishes to learn basic cooking skills and practice staple recipes they can then make at home. The young people then sit down round a table and enjoy the food they have made and write down the recipe which will go into a fundraising cookbook made by themselves. We mostly focus on healthy recipes and encourage everyone to try new things (especially if they think they don't like them!). At the end of each intake, we take the group out for a meal where they can be cooked for, instead being the cook themselves! At the moment, we have an extensive waiting list for our cooking group. This means every school term we take in 10 new members in place of the previous group and keep on 2 as youth helpers.
