The cause is to feed the people spiritually and physically We are a community and have extended to a food bank, striving to eradicate hunger in the community, Our food bank network helps people break free from poverty by providing additional support to help people resolve the crises they're facing so that they don't need to use a food bank again in the future. This could include things like debt advice, mental health support, or benefits guidance . In addition to reducing hunger, our food banks help to build communities by providing jobs and being gifted left over food ,goods and services from local businesses, creating an economic stimulus in the areas they serve. Importantly, food donations also help low-income families free up money to meet other basic needs.we currently collect from 6 co-operative stores on a daily base,And we collect from the Costco store in Bushy and Hayes, We partner with CLF and a few other churches and we have decided to open another distribution centre in the middle of Bury park the heart of Luton ,which will be an easy get to point due to the flow of public transport and the town centre being only a 10 minute walk away .And Our work with Neighbourly is a key part to be able to support local people.. We currently have volunteers on standby ready to pick up food from any location. In and around Luton

I began my journey doing charity work around 2021, with non-profits, and from this my passion grew helping others who are less fortunate. Now, in March 2025, I have founded BelovedXCare, with a team of dedicated individuals who assist me in collecting nutritious surplus food from local stores and supermarkets and we redistribute them to those that are in need including low-income families, single parents and the homeless. We are eager to do our part in reducing food waste whilst supporting those in need. My wish is that everyone would recognise the need and be able to do the same in helping others. Supporting communities through selfless service The Luton Sikh Soup Kitchen is an organisation sponsored by Guru Nanak Gurdwara Luton. It is a community-based project taken from the concept of ‘LANGAR’ created by the first Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Langar is a community kitchen of a gurdwara, which serves meals to all free of charge, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. People sit on the floor and eat together, and the kitchen is maintained and serviced by Sikh community volunteers. Vision No one should go hungry! Food is the vital first step in helping homeless people towards a better future. Without The Luton Sikh Soup Kitchen many of those that use the service would struggle to afford everyday essentials, like a hot meal. We aim to provide 10,000 hot meals a year, Hot food is a lifeline to our most vulnerable visitors, many of whom suffer from mental illness, physical disability, drug and alcohol misuse, or are rough sleepers. Make a Difference We rely heavily on food donations, and without the help of both local and regional donations, as well as large donators such as the great help we get from local businesses we would not be able to continue to produce the number of meals that we do.
