Through our welfare and outreach ministry, we support individuals and families experiencing hardship — whether that means financial struggles, loneliness, or simply needing a helping hand. We provide food parcels, toiletries, and essential household items, as well as a listening ear and encouragement, to bring hope and comfort to our neighbours. Our heart is to reach people of all ages and backgrounds, from low-income families to the elderly and those who feel isolated. But we cannot do this work alone. Your donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, and other essentials make it possible for us to continue showing care in practical ways. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us extend compassion further and make a real difference in Manchester. We are Action for Barnsley homeless, are a self funded group. On a Tuesday evening in Barnsley we run a kitchen , where the homeless or less fortunate, struggling family’s can come, they receive a hot meal and dessert, clothing , hygiene products , sleeping bag , roll mat. They also go away with a food bag with sandwiches and pasties, biscuits, and a drink . If they need advice on where they can get other help and services we point them in the right direction , if they can be put into temporary accommodation for the night we will make phone calls to crisis teams and do our best to find them somewhere .
