How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Be a Goood Neighbour. Based in Crewkerne Community Church

Crewkerne, UK

Our scheme was launched in March 2020to support those shielded and vulnerable within the Crewkerne Community. The scheme runs with an Admin team of 6/8 with 2 working each day the scheme operates. At present we function 3 days per week. At the height of the Pandemic we were functioning 7 days per week. There is a volunteer base to draw from as necessary of around 55 people from across the community. Services offered includes Collection of Prescriptions , Shopping needs, telephone support and for those more vulnerable we have been providing approximately 25 home cooked 2 course meals each Tuesday and Saturday. Frozen meals are provided for the remainder of the week as required. As we come towards the new school year we anticipate continuing and possibly increasing the level of support within the community as those who have been able to care for and support vulnerable family return to work and children to school. We will be doing a leaflet drop early September
