Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital (Brent Lodge) is a wildlife hospital based in Sidlesham, West Sussex. The purpose of the charity – 365 days a year – is to provide treatment, care and rehabilitation to UK wildlife casualties and orphans from West Sussex and East Hampshire, with the aim to get them fit and healthy for release back into the wild where they belong. We have been saving wildlife for nearly 50 years and receive about 3,500 wildlife patients each year. Whilst a majority of these are birds, we also treat about 600 hedgehogs plus a number of other mammals and reptiles. Our wildlife patients are admitted directly from the public, from the RSPCA, or from local vets who have pre-assessed the patient as needing wildlife care and recuperation facilities. Unfortunately, we do not have a rescue service. We are supported entirely by the generosity of supporters, local funders, as well as a small team of dedicated animal care staff and volunteers. They look after the welfare of our patients, and they do this with care and compassion, with a commitment to their welfare and fulfilling our charitable mission. As well as providing the very best care to our wildlife patients, we answer several thousand phone calls and email enquiries per year, resolving wildlife welfare concerns. We are also dedicated to spreading awareness about the welfare of wildlife in the local community through outreach work.

Love Your Hospital is the dedicated NHS charity supporting St Richard’s, Worthing, and Southlands hospitals. It provides vital funds to enhance patient care, fund state-of-the-art equipment, and support hospital staff wellbeing far beyond standard NHS provisions

To relieve children and young people who are the survivors of conflict and abuse or any other vulnerable or marginalised children and young people, through the provision of education and play programmes, safe secure accommodation and by such other charitable means as the trustees may from time to time think fit.
