Conquest Centre is a local animal and nature based therapy charity situated at Conquest Farm in Norton Fitzwarren on the A358 Minehead Road, just outside Taunton. The charity is nestled in 17 acres of glorious farmland with a small woodland copse and provides an inclusive community where people with additional needs feel valued, included and accepted. Facilities include outdoor and indoor riding arenas, playpark with accessible equipment including a wheelchair swing, woodland trail, a cafe, sensory room, forest school, Changing Places washroom and adult day care centre for people with additional needs. The therapy animals include horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, dogs and guineapigs. Over 150 animal therapy sessions are run weekly, all delivered by highly skilled specialist practitioners. Everyone is welcome, with or without a diagnosis, the centre offers an environment where people can come together in a non-judgemental setting to learn new skills, have fun and socialise.
