Wickham Community Centre is a vibrant and busy community centre in rural Hampshire. We are developing a range of community projects to enhance the lives of local people. These include: • The Wickham Pantry - run by volunteers to provide discount food to its members with the aim of food justice for all. • Wickham Community Garden - an oasis of calm, providing gardening and learning opportunities and produce to village residents • Wickham Community Fridge - saving food from landfill • Meon Valley Tots - play and stay activities for parents and young children • Monday Lunch club - a monthly gathering for older residents • Wickham Flicks - a monthly cinema club, a world away from the multi-screen experience The centre is a charity and run by local people, for local people. Its facilities provide local groups and businesses a venue at an affordable price. The centre offers a wide range of opportunities, from crafts to education to sports and more, all locally and not for profit.

We provide and enable community-run facilities, activities, services including (but not restricted to): sports, arts, crafts, older person's clubs, IT, volunteering, Portchester Gala, community events, volunteering/work placements, second-hand bookshop, information centre, copying, internet access and a Community Food Pantry.

The Blossom Development Trust will engage in a range of activities aimed at delivering the objects of the trust. This range of activities will include, (but will not be limited to); • Engaging the services of professionals such as occupational therapists, behavioural consultants, nutritionists, communication specialists, educationalists, medical consultants, support workers, and others, in order to provide beneficiaries and / or their parents with high-quality services as deemed necessary. • To engage the services of such professionals to provide training to volunteers, support workers, parents, and beneficiaries. Such training may be provided on an individual or group basis as deemed necessary. • To pay for treatments, supplements, testing, consultations and other expenses related to the delivery of the objectives. • To contribute to research where deemed appropriate. • To work with or contribute to other charities where our objectives coincide. • To engage the services of other charities where deemed appropriate, in order to deliver objectives on behalf of “Blossom”. • To sponsor attendance at appropriate events, conferences, meetings, etc of volunteers, support workers, parents, and beneficiaries as deemed necessary. • To provide advisory support to parents in order to help them in their dealings with statutory bodies (such as local education authorities), in order to ensure they are able to access the full range of services which should be available to them. Beneficiary of Blossom are children with additional needs and their families. Many individuals have a diagnosis of autism or similar developmental delay; all are young children to adolescence and require specialist in put such as specialist speech and language therapy, OT or ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) provision. Blossom aims to help parents provide provision for their children that is not readily available on the NHS.
