The Co-operative Food - Ryde, West Street

Feeding Isle of Wight runs a surplus food distribution centre on the Isle of Wight. This was set up to prevent surplus food being returned to the mainland to go into landfill. The aim is to help prevent hunger in an area of high deprivation. We distribute to various food charities on the Island. We also run a food pantry in Cowes from the front of the distribution centre. We offer various wraparound care including a Digital Network Hub.

The museum advances public education by establishing a permanent display of historic commercial and public carriage vehicles on the Isle of Wight. Apart from over 20 vehicles, including a horse drawn stagecoach, we have a new Archive Display area which was opened in 2021. We welcome people from all communities, whether interested in vehicles or not, and do not charge admission. For local people, especially those elderly or isolated, it's a place to come and chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit, meet others and reminisce.

We are a local volunteer run drop in centre based in Ryde on the Isle of Wight set up to help those most in need. We opened on the 17th of April 2011 and are open every Sunday evening at St Mary's Presentation House, 55 High Street, Ryde from 5-7pm. We are always in need of financial support and for food donations to secure the long term future of this much needed facility.
