How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, Southern Co-op has donated money, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance

Wellington, UK

Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance is a registered charity, established to provide relief from sickness and injury for the people in Dorset and Somerset, by providing an air ambulance. Since our launch in March 2000, we have flown over 11,000 missions. We operate a Eurocopter EC135 helicopter from our airbase at Henstridge on the Dorset/Somerset border. From there, we can be at any point in the two counties within 20 minutes. More importantly, the helicopter can then take a patient to any one of the Major Trauma Centres in the South West within a further 20 minutes. Our operational costs are over £2 million a year. The cost per mission is approximately £2,500. We receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery and rely entirely on the generosity of the public for support. Thank you!

Friends of Westminster Memorial Hospital

Shaftesbury, UK

We work with Dorset HealthCare and other relevant organisations to ensure the long-term existence of the Westminster Memorial Hospital, supporting staff in delivering excellent standards of treatment and care by raising funds for medical equipment, vehicles, refurbishment and infrastructure projects that are beyond the affordability and scope of the NHS.

Shaftesbury Abbey CE VA Primary School PTFA

Shaftesbury, UK

We are PTFA made up of parents, teachers and friends of the school. We meet once a half term and organise fundraising events throughout the year. Funds raised help to pay for extra things to enhance the childrens learning experiences that the tight school budget does not have room for. Our current fundraising project is to provide an outdoor learning area, to provide shade and cover for the children. Due to COVID-19 the school are encouraged to get the children outside more.
