Friends Of Limington House

Basingstoke, UK

Friends of Limington House (FOLH) is a charity run by families to support Limington House School. Our school is a Special School (SLD) for children aged 4-19 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties. We have the highest aspirations for all 102 of our pupils in the school and recognise that they all learn, achieve and succeed in different ways. FOLH are passionate to help the school raise vital funds, previously our fundraising has helped replace outdoor play equipment in the Early Years playground, contributed towards iPads and funded a “Magic Carpet” which is an interactive projector which all our pupils love and benefit from daily. This year, we are looking to provide a much-needed outdoor Sensory Swing to support pupils’ Occupational Therapy programmes. We support the families with coffee mornings, discos and our school uniform shop. We are looking to run more fundraising events in the coming year to raise awareness of our project and provide funds for smaller resources packages for each class and gifts to the pupils at Christmas and Easter.
