Hatch Warren And Beggarwood Community Association

The Warren is the only youth facility in Hatch Warren & Beggarwood. We engage with young people in year 6 and upwards in the community, giving them a secure base to come and spend time with their friends. The Warren is run by the Hatch Warren Community Association and has a team of dedicated Youth Workers, led by Vicky Elms our Youth Manager. Clare Pearce, the Centre Manager is our project leader on the Board of Trustees. All work tirelessly in session planning and obtaining the grant funding we need to continue to operate. We encourage young people of all abilities to get involved in our activities which include; sport, craft and technology. We challenge our young people to do their best and work as a team. Our feedback demonstrates that our young people gain a greater sense of purpose, try new things and gain skills from their time spent at the Warren. There is a huge range of activities including a Pool Table, Wii, PS4, Table Tennis and an Air Hockey Table. We often use the playing fields and MUGA (multi use games area) and we regularly invite external companies into the Warren to increase our service offerings. In addition to a variety of activities, we also offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of issues. These can include information on subjects such as healthy relationships, cyber safety, drug and alcohol information and much more. The Warren is a charity run youth club which does not charge entry fees to young people. This is to ensure that there are no financial barriers to young people attending the Warren. Therefore, we are always looking to fundraise to continue the work that the youth club carries out.
