COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRES (Growing Places) have been providers of not-for-profit childcare for over 20 years in Havant and Fareham Boroughs; we invest in our facilities, staff and resources and are committed to ensuring the highest quality of care and education for your child. As a charitable company Growing Places operates a variety of childcare centres around Havant and Fareham Boroughs caring for children aged from 6 months to 11 years. Well trained, highly motivated and committed staff ensure that all our children are provided with a safe, secure, warm, stimulating play and learning environment. Growing Places community department run family cookery workshops, introduction to and exploration of a verity of fruit and vegetables and how they contribute to health and wellbeing. Cook and eat workshops where we show families and the community how to make healthy low cost meal on a budget. Our community pantry is a lifeline to our community in providing a helping hand to others, and saving good food going to landfill. Alongside our soon to be community garden starting 2022! A place where you can grow, learn and be a peace together whilst feeding the community.

We are a charity who provides care and supports the welfare and advancement of people with disabilities and their families living in Portsmouth and South-East Hampshire. Services include Playschemes, befriending, teenage and youth services, and sports clubs. Our aim is to respond to individual needs; to support and encourage individuals to be apart of their community; for them to have equal opportunities; to encourage them to make social relationships; and to support them to live as independently as possible. We also run a fully functioning Community Centre in Landport, in the heart of the Charles Dickens Ward of the city. Havant and East Hants Mind promotes mental wellbeing within our community, working with mental health service users to promote recovery and to increase their influence over their own lives. We work in partnership with other organisations to challenge discrimination and promote social inclusion. We are a campaigning and fundraising organisation with a focus on quality in service provision, and we involve service users in all aspects of our work.
