COMMUNITY CHILDCARE CENTRES (Growing Places) have been providers of not-for-profit childcare for over 20 years in Havant and Fareham Boroughs; we invest in our facilities, staff and resources and are committed to ensuring the highest quality of care and education for your child. As a charitable company Growing Places operates a variety of childcare centres around Havant and Fareham Boroughs caring for children aged from 6 months to 11 years. Well trained, highly motivated and committed staff ensure that all our children are provided with a safe, secure, warm, stimulating play and learning environment. Growing Places community department run family cookery workshops, introduction to and exploration of a verity of fruit and vegetables and how they contribute to health and wellbeing. Cook and eat workshops where we show families and the community how to make healthy low cost meal on a budget. Our community pantry is a lifeline to our community in providing a helping hand to others, and saving good food going to landfill. Alongside our soon to be community garden starting 2022! Reeling from the huge shock of having a child diagnosed with cancer, families are at a desperate point. Tough decisions and conversations are taking place and families are supporting each other from the child’s bedside. It is the most awful time. Parents are often, understandably, unable to leave their child. We are aiming to provide them with car parking vouchers, Marks and Spencer food vouchers (the on-site store) and Costa vouchers. The Abby’s Heroes’ Care Package will be given to families as they arrive on the ward, ensuring they have immediate means to cope with the first few days and weeks on the ward.
