Happy Days is radically transforming life for people who are homeless or in crisis, through wraparound support and the power of community. Our services include: · the Complex Lives drop-in support service, helping vulnerable people with their urgent needs; · the free community cafe · the Winter Shelter, the only night shelter in Calderdale, which offers personal support and move-on accommodation to all residents; · the community supermarket, which provides affordable food with the chance to save into a linked credit union account; and · Resident support, including Jubilee House, our long-term supported accommodation programme for homeless people in severe emotional crisis.

Overgate Hospice provides expert care, support, advice and information for patients and their families, carers and loved ones. Living with a life-limiting illness can affect a person in many ways. After being referred to us we will work in partnership with the patient to provide the care and support depending on their individual needs. All of our medical and nursing care is provided by a highly qualified and skilled team who will work with the patient to ensure they receive a high standard of care. Our team of doctors and nurses can help relieve a person’s symptoms, including pain management and fatigue, along with our Patient and Family Support Team who can help with adjusting to day-to-day life living with an illness. We also offer Bereavement Support, Carer’s Group and a Drop-In Service. All our services are free of charge and are available to people living in the Calderdale area who are over 18 years old. We know we cannot add days to life but we can add life to the days of our patients, making the most of the time they have left.
