Bishop's Waltham In Bloom

Southampton, UK

We are an entirely voluntary group who are responsible for all the floral displays within Bishop's Waltham. In the summer we have flower beds sponsored by local businesses along the grass verges and hanging baskets and planters within the town centre. These can be sponsored by businesses or by individuals. We also have several permanent planters which have floral displays throughout the year. Two of these are in memory of founder members of the group. In addition grass verges also have spring bulbs and from this year will have autumn cyclamen as well. We have two areas planted with annual wild flower seeds. We hold an annual floral competition which encourages the participation by the local community. We also take part in the Yarn Bombing of Bishop's Waltham with displays that have a relevance to gardens and nature.
