At the Church which has a community hall we run regular events to support the community. these range from Drop in centre that supports people with learning difficulties, other groups support people with Dementia. There are also many other events which attract the local community. Within the Church Ella Sheppard runs a dance studio at which she teaches dance to people from 5 years old to adults . There are regular concerts both within the Church and hall, these range from opera, to light music. We host the Harp on Wight as a yearly event , Where people come and learn all about Harps, and attend classes, and concerts . The full Ryde town council meets in the Church once a month. we exist to support the people of Ryde .

The Wight Brainy Bunch provide emotional support and financial assistance to Isle of Wight families who's lives have been affected by brain tumours, The Wight Brainy Bunch hold a monthly support group, offering a confidential and supportive environment, where patients, family members and carers can drop in for an informal chat, vital information, share their own experiences or simply to have a cup of coffee and take time out. In addition to this they work closely with other local organisations to provide a variety of services, including: • Assistance with travel costs to the Mainland for appointments and treatment • Loss of earnings • Purchasing of specialist equipment • Short breaks and memory making experiences for those with a terminal diagnosis • Counselling services • Physiotherapy to help improve mobility • Cognitive therapy to aid rehabilitation A new Bereavement Support Group has also recently been established to support families who have lost a loved one to a brain tumour. More than 16,000 people each year are diagnosed with a brain tumour with more children and adults under 40 dying of brain tumours than from any other form of cancer. Brain tumours are indiscriminate, yet they receive just 1-2% of the national spend on cancer research.
