The Co-operative Funeralcare - Andover

We provide immediate shelter for homeless people in Andover as well as long-term support. We have an 18-bed homeless hostel in Andover, 16 supported living units, 7 move-on flats and a floating support service. We provide advice on sourcing housing, applying for benefits and signposting to other support services. Each of our clients has an individual support plan to make sure they can each achieve the best possible long-term solution.

We offer 1:1's and group work on lots of important issues that affect young people. We cover lots of relevant topics - housing, employment and training, benefits, self esteem, sexual health and relationships, anger management and many others. The Junction in a 'safe space' where young people can come to use our internet café, get free tea and coffee and play on the pool table. We supply tents, sleeping bags, roll mats and blankets to our homeless young people with the opportunity to use our washing machine and tumble dryer if necessary. Once a month, we host a social evening where we offer a free hot meal to all who attend. We also cook hot meals at lunchtimes when we have had food donated - otherwise we charge 50 pence for a toasty, which are free to our homeless young people. Every Thursday evening we have a Social Club for people with learning disabilities and autism. Activities include arts and craft, baking, karaoke and more. It's important to give young people opportunities to nurture their talents. That's why we run a music project with an accredited Arts Award. We have a music room with a large amount of instruments - the young people can record and take their own music away on a disk. Thanks to your help, we'll continue giving out hot meals and bringing people together to develop their skills, confidence and talents.

Andover Crisis And Support Centre provides accommodation for women, and women with children, in need of a supportive environment, together with a drop-in centre open to those in the community experiencing crisis in their lives.
