West Berks Foodbank exists to ensure that no one in our community faces hunger alone. We provide emergency food parcels and compassionate support to local people in crisis across West Berkshire, responding with dignity, care, and practical help when it’s needed most. Our work is powered by a dedicated network of volunteers, referral partners, and community organisations who help identify need early and connect people with the right support. Alongside supplying nutritionally balanced food parcels, we walk alongside individuals and families to help them navigate the challenges they are facing. Through tailored advice, signposting, and wider support services, we aim to address the underlying causes of hardship—empowering people to rebuild stability, confidence, and hope for the future. Guided by our mission of Relieving Hunger, Restoring Dignity, and Reviving Hope, we are committed to creating a community where everyone has the resources and resilience they need to thrive.

SMILE & BEe KIND is all about advocating little acts of kindness in our local communities and surroundings. Our main aim is to offer help in the form of food, toys, clothing and other products to help individuals and families struggling. We also take time and put measures in place to deliver food and products to families who cannot get to our location for one reason or the other by delivering to their doorsteps. As per our motto, little acts of kindness would go a long way to fight one of many hungers and also help build great communities.

Provides safe, confidential, and non-judgemental support to individuals affected by domestic abuse and trauma. Offers one-to-one emotional support and guidance, helping individuals rebuild confidence and independence Delivers wellbeing sessions, group activities, and workshops to promote healing and resilience through Chai and Chats Working with the community through regular sessions to raising awareness of domestic abuse. Supports access to specialist services including counselling, legal advice, and safeguarding through partner organisations Organises community initiatives and events (e.g. Chai and Chat) to reduce isolation and encourage connection Works to empower individuals and strengthen communities, promoting inclusion, awareness, and long-term recovery Distributing and delivering food donations to vulnerable families affected by Domestic Abuse
