Since 2008, PATCH has been giving free food parcels, clothing and household items to people in financial crisis in Pembrokeshire. We work closely with referral agencies to help those that are experiencing hardship through, for example, a delay in benefits, fire, theft and escaping emergency situations. HOW DOES IT WORK? Access to items is by referral. When a referral agent issues a client with one of our vouchers, they can bring it in to any of the Basics Bank venues to exchange it for up to 5 days of food for the people specified on the voucher. This will be a mix of tinned, boxed and packets of food. Clothing, Household items, (pots pan, bedding etc.) and/or toiletries

Relieve those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial or other disadvantage in particular by the provision of grants or donation of items to individuals or to charitable organisation supporting those in need. To encourage and provide recycling opportunities to the public, businesses, statutory authorities and educational establishments.

"People Should Not Face Going Hungry" Neyland Foodbank Center helps and supports people in our community in crisis by providing the initial help and support they need. We endeavour to address food poverty in our communities, With the Neighbourly Food donations, we can offer free collection of donated surplus food for anyone to come and collect what we have on a set day, Neighbourly Food donations tackle food hardship in our communities and families in the low income group facing the decision to go hungry or pay household bills, which is a constant choice issue for some. The provision of free drinks and food for everyone coming into the center, is to make them feel welcome, valued and giving them the time and space to chat, make friendships with volunteers. With signposting and informative support we can direct them to seek help and advice with various support agencies around the county if needed. The Neyland Foodbank center provides the referred client with food vouchers, to exchange for nutritionally balanced emergency food parcels for three days to help them from going hungry. We are one of the Pembrokeshire Foodbank centers in Pembrokeshire and is supported by The Trussell Trust, working together to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. The Neighbourly Food will really help us to address the food hardship and tackling food wastage. It will significantly benefit the community at large, the accessibility of free collection of the donated surplus food for anyone to come and collect what we have on the day. Also to further the Neyland Foodbank's future plan to offer cooking skills classes during the morning, with Neighbourly Food we can practically help and support our younger parenting groups, so they can learn and build up cooking skills with confidence with what we have on the day, to cook fresh, healthy home cooked meal for their family. The Neyland Foodbank Center needs the Neighbourly Food to help us to continue the practical help and support to the people in our and wider communities. The donated surplus foods from Neighbourly Food will be a great help to enable us to address the food poverty and to combat inequality in society to those who need our help and support now, so they can have a breathing space to get themselves back on track with dignity and respect.
