In 2006 NCLP was formed as a 'not for profit' organisation based in Gloucester who has developed and delivers accredited and non-accredited educational, parenting, childcare, personal & social development, work skills and healthcare focused programmes in a holistic way in partnership with local and national organisations. Parents and pregnant teenagers have been involved in designing the programmes. Feedback has identified they recognise the skills they need to learn and that they are not offered via the core curriculum at school or in a learning environment they feel comfortable in. Over recent years we have built a national network of providers who deliver NCLP parenting programmes. NCLP manages the quality of all provision to maintain a high standard of delivery nationally adhering to all regulation body standards. NCLP’s direct delivery is based predominately across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Our main aims are: · Promote multi-agency working. · Predominately work with the most vulnerable groups in mainly deprived areas. · Engage successfully young people to learn and become well informed individuals. · Encourage positive progression. · For children to have a happy, healthy, formative childhood to be a successful next generation. Our original course Young Parents to be is early intervention at its best; as it explores pregnancy, the development of baby in the womb, emotional attachment, bonding and covers antenatal care to caring for a baby up to 6 months old. Parents with Prospects, explores child development and parenting from 0 – 5 years covering: · Developing literacy and communication with children · Developing play and relationships with children · Healthy eating for children · Keeping children safe and well · Positive parenting · Healthy lifestyles for parents · Managing money for parents · Employment skills preparation units NCLP distributes the food to vulnerable parents and families across Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire in children’s and community centres. The Parenting programmes developed by NCLP are the only accredited British Parenting qualifications in England.

Incorporating Hereford Homeless Support & the Living Room. Things are a little different at Ethos we are different, we are grass roots organisation that has developed organically responding to the needs of the community. All of our work focuses on an asset based approach, we don’t see labels and problems we see people going through tough times who need to still feel human connection and that they have a place in the world with space to reconnect through human relationships not as a service user who needs to complete numerous personal information forms just to be seen. Helping people to navigate their way through disadvantage and hardship from whatever means by providing timely but brief additional support to help prevent issues such as homelessness, poverty related issues such as poor physical health, mental health, isolation and loneliness which all pose a huge strain on our society. We do this through a range of offers The Living Room inc - Community Larder and food parcels Community Space with training Community Café Hereford Homeless Support we support homeless people in our community, this is done through being part of the food providers network in Hereford as we provide a hot meal to homeless people, items like tents and sleeping bags, clothing a shower facility and washing facility for homeless people. we also help support access to grants to help people into housing. We also work with people at risk of homelessness or experiencing poverty and disadvantage by providing advice and guidance, access to debt advice and grant assistance along with food parcels and access to our community larder. Our community larder works on a donation basis that when people can afford to its suggested £5 donation, this helps with the our collection costs with fuel and volunteers and also our subscription to partner organisations buying in food weekly. Food donated through Neighbourly is never charged for, donations given go towards buying in food from Fareshare weekly.

Help for All Gwent is a local voluntary group that accepts donations from the local community and donate to people in need. This includes essential items such as food, clothing and household items. We work closely with a local charity that donates furniture to families in need and help people in crisis with sourcing clothes and furniture. Families can register with Help For All Gwent to receive weekly or biweekly food parcels. The group is run by volunteers who collect food from Sainsbury’s and Aldi. The food is then distributed to families who can either collect or have delivered to them if they have no means of transport. We work closely with other local charities and community groups and cover each other's food collections if needed. Volunteers have completed basic food safety training to enable them to.distribute all food collected and understand the importance of food safety.
