How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Hayle Community Food Cupboard

Hayle, UK

Our ethos: “Take only what you need; give back when you can”. Hayle has two community food cupboards, one in Copperhouse opposite Down The Line surf shop and one at Foundry Square. The cupboards are stocked and maintained by a dedicated group of volunteers who collect surplus food from local supermarkets, which could otherwise go to landfill. The food provided in the cupboards doesn't stay on the shelves for long! We are very grateful for consistent support from Aldi, Lidl, M&S and Sainsburys. From time to time the cupboards also benefit from fresh produce donated by The Cornwall Gleaning Network.
