How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

Trenance Childcare

Newquay, UK

At Trenance Childcare we provide high quality care and education at affordable prices for families in Newquay and the surrounding areas. We provide full day care from birth to 5 years as well as a breakfast and afterschool club for children who attend Trenance Learning Academy. We have made plans as to what we would like to do with our available space. Our allotment is beginning to take hold and our children love to plant and watch their crops grow. We would like to renovate our outdoor area to ensure new and exciting play and learning opportunities for all the children in our care.

St Petrocs - Newquay The Crescent

Newquay, UK

At St Petrocs we believe homelessness shouldn’t be an issue in our society. We believe that for anyone facing homelessness, for whatever reason, there should be the care and support they need to help them. We strive to provide the best quality of service possible to those people, aged 16–65, who find themselves homeless and for whom no provision is made within the community, either statutory or otherwise.

Store House Community Fridge

Newquay, UK

Store House is a Community Hub right in the heart of Newquay. We believe in collectively working together with various agencies and local groups. We provide services and activities that reflect the needs of the many faces that call Newquay home. As part of our response to the pandemic we have recently started a New project-Community Fridge-Reducing food waste-Empowering communities-Working together. The community fridge a simple way to make good food go further, taking good quality surplus food, which would otherwise be wasted, and making it freely available for local people to come and collect, we believe it makes no sense to throw away perfectly good food when it can still be used to make delicious meals and snacks. Absolutely everyone is invited to take what they need on a first come, first served basis, reducing food waste, saving money and helping to make a positive social impact on our town- everyones a winner!.
