We are a small group of volunteers who feed the homeless people of southend on a Tuesday night. At the moment we supply most food and toiletries from our own pockets.
We are very committed to what we do and are always on the lookout for help whether it be food , toiletries or a pair of helping hands .

The Shoebury Ark
Southend-on-Sea, UK
The Shoebury Ark (regd charity 1198094) is a charity (registration pending) which aims to help alleviate poverty in the Shoeburyness area (one of the most deprived wards in the country) by the provision of free freshly cooked meals and foodbank items. In addition we also sell at very low cost tinned/packet food and children's clothing. We also signpost people to other support agencies and partner with Fuel bank for support with energy costs.
We operate each week on a Tuesday from Friars Baptist Church, Shoeburyness. We aim to provide a service in a welcoming non judgemental environment to anyone in need. Currently we serve approximately 200 meals a week.
We welcome donations of food to prepare meals, ambient food for sale at low cost (also helps to fund meals) and children's clothing and toys.
We welcome donations from organisations willing to sponsor or part sponsor the cost of meals each week (approx £200). We would also love to hear from organisations/individuals that are willing to volunteer in varying roles including:
Collecting food donations
Help setting up and closing down the operation each week.
Help on Tuesdays with serving clients.
