How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

South Derbyshire CVS Food Bank

Swadlincote, UK

We are South Derbyshire CVS. We provide a Food Bank as well as many other services such as Befriending, Home from Hospital, Safer Homes, Mental Wellbeing , Low Level Support, Active Travel & Handy Person services to name a few. We also operate Derbyshire Time Swap and are a hub for local volunteering. Our Food bank provides support to those in need. This includes help with food, toiletries and some animal food ( cat and dog). Our aim is to ease our visitors out of their situation by referring/signposting them to appropriate support services. We have a general advisor from the Citizen's Advise based with us on a weekly basis who supports clients with various issues. This could be debts, help with filling out forms or benefit issues - however, the list is endless. We provide a person centred support from a caring environment. We work closely with many services in the South Derbyshire area such as the Police, Social Care, Women's Refuge, P3 to name a few.
