ALDI EAST KILBRIDE - AVON DRIVE

We offer a number of wellbeing services, such as free therapy, information and support to anyone affected by childhood trauma or abuse, and those affected by cancer. With these wellbeing aims in mind we have also established our Share Alike project. This is open to all in our community for free, supporting anyone in need by offering a community wardrobe, community fridge, free brunch club and a food bank. Within and outside our normal office hours we also help in emergencies for local families directly and via referrals from different types of organisations, such as women's aid. We give families immediate assistance with free food and clothing, and help via our donations to help them reestablish a home after fleeing or losing theirs. All our staff are volunteers and offer some classes and services to the general public for a small donation. This means we both keep SAVI Kids open for those who need help after childhood trama and abuse, while making alternative health/support services more accessible to all.

Our school is a Roman Catholic Secondary School for children and young people from 11 – 18. In Saint Paul’s we aim to nurture your child to become the fully rounded individual they have the potential to be. At the heart of our Ethos are the Gospel Values of love, joy, peace and truth and as a school community we strive to live these values in everything that we do. Our aim is to prepare our children and young people for their future: academically, spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. The uniqueness of every young person is celebrated in Saint Paul’s R.C. High; our curriculum offers a rich and engaging range of activities that meet all the different learning styles and interests. We teach the importance of respect for each other, the value of difference and the skills of working together. As a school we recognise the importance of a strong partnership with parents and carers. We enjoy strong relationships with our parents and we are always working to develop this further.

We are a council run nursery within an area of increasing deprivation. We would appreciate any donations of food, flowers, candles or any other items which we could distribute to our families. We currently have 145 children on our roll and with this comes 145 families. Our families find it difficult under normal circumstances but COVID-19 has presented a lot of other issues to our families. Families that have lost their jobs, families that have lost loved ones and families that are living in fear of this awful pandemic therefore highlighting mental health issues which affects the wellbeing of our families.
