How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare

Dumbarton, UK

West Dunbartonshire Community Foodshare provides a one week emergency food parcel to local people in crisis. All food distributed is donated by the local community. We deliver support to the person's home address, supporting roughly 400 people per week. We also run a school uniform bank, a babybank, a fuel poverty project, school holiday brunch bags and a toy bank at Christmas to help families who are going through a difficult time. We work in partnership with local organisations to provide a holistic package of support to each person affected by poverty and food insecurity to maximise positive outcomes. We have a volunteer team of 55 who work across the week from our base in Dumbarton.

Glasgow North West Foodbank (The Trussell Trust)

Glasgow, UK

At Glasgow North West Foodbank we care deeply for people, supplying three days of nutritionally-balanced food for those in need, along with toiletries, pet food and more. We are referral-based and work with well over 200 agencies not only help with food poverty but to solve the problems that left people destitute. At Christmas, we go all out supplying everything that would be needed, not just because of charity but simply because it is the right thing to do. After all, that's what Christmas is all about. We look for any donations that would help with our project to give people comfort and support mental health and everyday living. We couldn't run so well without the generosity and support of the people we meet. Any help is appreciated.

St ninians parent council

Glasgow, UK

As a parent council we support families by being their voice during meetings. We fundraiser over the year for events that allow kids to be seen, heard and felt included in the community. We are a school of almost 400. We face challenges head on and make sure the families are seen and supported. With the support of neighbourly we can help families with food items etc so that kids have a full belly and can engage in class and have energy to run around during breaks etc. No person should go without a meal. Our school pantry supports families in their times of need.
