The organisation is established for charitable purposes only, and in particular, the objects are: the provision of recreational facilities, or the organisation of recreational activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the people over the age of 60 and/or who due to ill health would benefit from the service provided by annan & district day centre. the promotion of equality and diversity. the relief of those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, finacial hardship or other disadvantage(including relief given by the provision of accommodation or care)

Kate's Kitchen Our Vision is to alleviate isolation, poverty, their causes and consequences within our community and, in so doing, recognise the value of EVERY individual. Kate's Kitchen is a drop-in café for all in Annan. It is open 4 days a week Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10am - 2pm. All are welcome. People can access breakfast club and hot lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our gardening group is on Wednesdays from 10am - 3pm. Our Healthy Eating group meet on a Friday as does our Arts and Crafts Group from 10am - 2pm. Lunch and refreshments are also served on Wednesdays and Fridays. Throughout the week individuals can also access our food bank with parcels containing ambient and fresh produce. One to one support can be accessed from our trained support workers on issues including debt, benefits and housing advice. Our Universal Credit Support Worker can also support you to apply online for Universal Credit, maintain job centre commitments, update CV's and apply for jobs.

Our service will work with families who have children who are affected by their parent(s)’ substance use issues.We will mainly supportchildren & families on an outreach basis within the family home or a community resource. We will particularly target families where children may be at risk of or have experienced multiple Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) or who are otherwise particularly vulnerable .Our team will support families by providing early intervention in relation to a range of key areas of support, inclyding the reduction of inequalities and the promotion of inclusion\participation within the wider community. • Intensive parenting support will be delivered using a range of parenting programmes which will be tailored to the individual needs of the family. For example through use of the Parents As First Teachers model and the Solihull approach (The First Five Years/The School Years). Support will also include: • Help to establish and maintain routines • Help to access local services e.g. health, dental, financial, housing • Developing community-based support networks and participating in community life • Supporting children to flourish in school life and improving experiences of key transitions (starting nursery, primary, secondary) use of individual and group work to improve relationships, resilience, confidence and communication skills. • Risk reduction in relation to personal safety and gatekeeping We will offer a three-stage programme of support to families over 18 months. 1 Intensive family support for up to six months 2 Transition to community support for up to nine months (Total time for direct support would be 15 months) 3 Transitional support for children and families after their intervention/support from Intensive Family Support ends to ensure smooth transition and continued improved outcomes (three months in duration)
