How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

CUPAR FOODBANK

Cupar, UK

The foodbank provides emergency food to those in need in times of crisis. We provide a minimum of three days' nutritionally balanced, tinned and dried food donated by the local community. We also provide toiletries, domestic cleaning products and pet food. Clients have to be referred to access the Foodbank. This can be done through a variety of agencies ie Housing, Social Work, CARF, Doctors, Health Visitors, Schools, Fife Voluntary Action, Local Support Groups etc. Our opening hours are as follows: Monday 11-3pm, Wednesday 4-6pm, Friday 11-3pm and 5-6pm. In addition we provide a listening ear to people with complex issues, signposting them where necessary to various support agencies, thus offering a hand up and not just a hand out.

Buckhaven Baptist Church

Leven, UK

The church’s purposes (“the purposes”) are the advancement of the christian faith primarily in Buckhaven. Our project The Safe Haven Community Cafe and Food Distribution operate from the church premises - we have two large halls we use. We identify service users as those recovering but also still coping with drug and alcohol abuse; single parent and full families etc. and homeless persons. We also provide washing facilities, shower, washing machine etc. There is no charge for any of our services. We offer hot meals twice weekly over and above tea/coffee rolls, cake etc. We are supplied weekly by Fareshare mainly for the Food Distribution. Photographs could be available with the consent of the users. I am part of a Community Cafe Network which covers all Community Cafes in our area. A reference could be available from Mrs Cassie Marshall who co-ordinates the Network and works with the Trussell Trust Levenmouth Foodbank. Our social media link is on the Church Facebook page and we are in the process of setting up a designated page for the Cafe and Food Distribution,
