How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

We provide the young people with a safe space to exercise, support and information on diet and exercise plans and encourage them to make healthier options in life. We provide them with informal information on a variety of different topics such as smoking, nutrition and personal hygiene and can put together tailored diet and exercise plans for individuals based on their needs. We encourage the young people to set goals and help motivate them to achieve them as well as help build up and boost their self esteem and confidence.

Laburnum Family Learning Centre

Glasgow, UK

We are a family learning nursery centre situated in Viewpark, Uddingston. This is a highly deprived area and we have set up a poverty proofing group to help the most vulnerable families within our centre. We have recently had a great uptake on our clothing bank where families could access Winter jackets, boots and warm clothing. Many of our families are living below the poverty line and struggle to feed themselves and keep their homes warm. Our aim is to help and support these families with these issues through any donations available to us.
