Caring Sharing Room

Hamilton, UK

Our project operates from a designated area within the primary school premises, providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. We identify service users through parental consultation, parent feedback, and regular assessments to understand the specific needs of our children and their families. We also engage with parents to gather insights on how we can better support them. In addition to food support, we offer educational programs, play-based learning activities, parent workshops, and community engagement events to enhance the overall development of children and support families. Currently, our nursery class does not charge for services; we aim to make education and support accessible to all families in our community. We have partnerships with local retailers to collect surplus food, which helps us provide food for families to provide nutritious meals for the children and reduces food waste in the community. We also receive donations from Hamilton Food Bank, though the support has recently been reduced. Additionally, our local Morrisons supplies us with bags of essential products on a monthly basis Our Caring Sharing Room serves as a vital lifeline for families in need. We believe that access to nutritious food is fundamental to a child's well-being and development. By offering a variety of healthy food options, we aim to ensure that no child goes hungry and that parents can focus on providing a stable and nurturing environment at home. More than just a food distribution point, the Caring Sharing Room fosters a sense of community and belonging. We strive to create a welcoming atmosphere where families can connect with one another, share their experiences, and access additional support services. Our goal is to empower families by alleviating some of their burdens and reminding them that they are not alone in their struggles. Through this initiative, we are committed to building a stronger, more compassionate community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. By sharing resources and caring for each other, we hope to inspire resilience and solidarity among our families, creating a brighter future for all. We have established a" Caring Sharing Room" a space where parents/carers can access food and necessities at no cost. The goal is to help ease the financial strain that many are experiencing , especially when it comes to feeding their families. We would be grateful for any leftover provisions or items nearing their sell by date that you might be able to donate. These contributions, whether food items or other essentials, would make a significant difference for the families we support. We can arrange to collect donations at your convenience or discuss other ways we could work together
