To relieve the suffering and disadvantage caused by addictions and to improve the individuals lives and the lives of their families. To provide safe environments such as the 1st Step Cafe, the food eco pantries and the 1st Step workshops for individuals in recovery. The local community, their friends and families are all welcome at the 1st Step Cafe and the community eco pantries. To offer volunteering opportunities by providing healthy food to the local community through community eco friendly pantries. To advance education by providing skills development, with 1st Step bikes , within the eco pantries and the Cafe. This provides meaningful opportunities to gain skills and confidence often leading towards future employment.

We are a registered Charity Out of School Club based in a local Linlithgow School Building. We cater for upto 80 children per day during term time and during the school holidays. We provide a fun, safe and stimulating environment for children aged 5-12. We ensure the children have access to a wide range of activities and daily access to outdoor play. We also offer a breakfast club every morning. We provide a healthy and nutritious snack for the children every afternoon. We use our food donations to allow us to provide healthy and balanced snacks and breakfast for the 80 children in our care. We do not collect food surplus via any other means.
