How it works

Here's how businesses create local impact through Neighbourly.

Through Neighbourly, ALDI has donated surplus food and products, turning business resources into meaningful community impact.

  1. 1

    A business gives

Through Neighbourly, businesses donate resources to local good causes.

  2. 2

A local good cause puts it to use

Support goes directly to charities and community organisations, helping them free up time and resources to focus on what matters most.

  3. 3

People get the support they need

Whether it's a hot meal, essential products, a safe place to meet or someone to talk to, support reaches people in ways that make a real difference.

  4. 4

    Every contribution counts

Together, these contributions create real, measurable impact in local communities. That's social value in action.

The Bible Centre

Renfrew, UK

The Bible Centre is based just on the edge of Erskine and have been for a number of years working with Greggs and Aldi's distributing food several times a week to a number of people in need including the elderly, families and people living on their own, with no charge for the food or delivery, nothing is expected in return, in either monetary terms or any other commitment, this purely to support people in the community. We don't ask for photo's from those who receive the food as people don't want to be seen as needing this help or assistance .This service also provides emotional support and help in many other practical ways, like passing out furniture that is donated for thse in need. Many people are referred to us from local churches or other organisations and we also support some of the local homeless units with food donations as well. If the food provided isn't suitable to be eaten by humans we would give this to a local animal shelter charity for the animals so that where possible nothing is wasted.
