Hi, it's Sarah & Dawn who for the last 18 months have run The Cupboard Elton. We are now starting under our own umbrella. We aim to help the most vulnerable in our community. We believe it's a basic human right to have access to food. As a community project, we strive to achieve zero waste. So many families are struggling through this cost of living crisis & we endeavor to make life a bit easier for them. We continue to support our local community by working in partnership with other charities, offering free packed lunches to all primary-aged children throughout the school holidays. Throughout the summer holidays, we can provide ice cream to the community. We have also supplied it to the out-of-school club, The Table Ellesmere Port, and the Messy church. Supporting our local Church with the Pensioner's afternoon tea and the soup kitchen. This is run every month but throughout Lent, this becomes a weekly event. We deliver food parcels to the elderly who are less mobile. We hope to be in a position to help more organizations within our village and surrounding areas We can provide information and support about the local food bank and other charities that can also provide support to the most vulnerable. We are operating from the Anchorage at the Elton Church Hall.

Mixed gender supported accommodation for vulnerable adults focusing on health, well being and nutrition. We provide targeted one to one support, information and advice regarding dual diagnosis, mental health, finance issues, benefits and sexual health. Our aim is to provide support which is holistic, person-centred and enables residents to achieve greater independence and long term appropriate housing.

Chesnut Lodge School is a community special school in Widnes that caters for pupils with Complex Physical and Medical Difficulties as well as Cognition and Learning Difficulties. We cater for pupils from age 2-16 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHC plan) as well as taking Vulnerable 2's and nursery age pupils on mainstream places. Chesnut Lodge offers a full curriculum that is tailored to meet the needs of individual pupils, both academically and medically. We work closely with medical professionals providing a range of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy and many more. Our experienced staff work closely with parents and carers and other professionals to ensure that each child receives the curriculum and care that they require. Our current cohort has 62% of pupils in receipt of Free School Meals. Pupils in receipt of FSM and/or Pupil premium (66% of pupils) are targeted for any additional support. Over the last few years Neighbourly has enabled us to collect from Marks and Spencer, Aldi and B and Q in our local area. The school uses their surplus donations to ensure that children have access to additional food and resources in school where needed. As a school for complex physical and medical needs our costs are significantly higher than most schools and these donation's have a huge impact in school.
