Our homeless and vulnerable visitors remain our priority, and our primary aim is to provide a free full cooked breakfast for them every Thursday morning. We offer shower facilities and provide fresh, clean underwear, socks, clothing, sleeping bags and blankets. In addition to the average 100 breakfasts served weekly, we also provide an average of 100 food parcels, including toiletries and various other household essentials. Our food support extends to local needy families, plus the families of asylum seekers and immigrants. Our services are offered to anyone who comes along - no referrals are required and no charge is made. We remain extremely grateful to Warburtons in Stone, Staffordshire, who have faithfully supported us since we began. They have provided the physical ‘bread-of-life’ for our charity and our guests throughout the period of time we’ve been in operation. We also receive support and donations via the Fareshare organisation. We established our charity in 2005 and were honoured to receive the MBE ‘QUEEN’S AWARD FOR VOLUNTARY SERVICES’ in 2015. In March 2025, we marked up 20 years of community service, and it only seems like yesterday when we welcomed our first guest in for a meal. Since that time, we’ve witnessed the needs in our area slowly and very sadly deteriorate. Many individuals and families, who would not have used our service in the past, are now coming along for help and support.

The Lyme Trust is a charitable organisation which was set up in 1974. The Trust provides supported accommodation for people living with mental health problems. We also support people with substance misuse and addiction difficulties alongside any mental health issues. Our aim is provide a safe, stable and comfortable environment in which people can live. Residents have access to high levels of support and a good quality of life. The Trust is part of the voluntary sector and has access to a wide network of specialist support. Volunteers play a large part in the organisation and with their variety of experiences bring a rich cultural element to The Trust. The management team meets on a regular basis with the board of Trustees to report on progress and exchange views.
