We redistribute surplus food from supermarkets to the local community and local charities. This not only saved food from landfill but also helps to build community. - What premises does your project operate from? Currently 38 Linkside Rd, L25 9NX. This is registered with EHO. We have just been offered one day a week in a local shop. We are also working with two local councillors (Mirna Juarez and Sharon Connor) to rent space in a local church hall in an evening too. - How do you identify service users and their needs? They approach us through our facebook page, word of mouth or other people/organisations direct them to ourselves. For example, Alice Bennett, an ex local councillor directed us to a lady with seven children. They also come to our Friday community event in Hunts Cross Gardens. - Are there any other services provided by your organisation other than food support? Our other aim is building community and providing opportunities for volunteering. - Is there a charge for the service(s) provided by your organisation? No - Do you currently collect surplus food from any other retailers? Yes – Tesco and a local Co op. - Has there been local press or similar that demonstrates your organisation's work in the local community? Not yet although the local councillors do share our facebook page. - Would it be possible to provide photographs of work that your organisation does in the local community? There are lots on our facebook page and Instagram page - Is your project a registered charity, registered CIC, social enterprise or non-profit organisation? We have made an application. - Have you partnered with other local good causes or council members who may be able to provide a reference? If you would like to provide a reference from a local organisation, if you could ask them to email us at food@neighbourly.com as soon as possible, that would be great. Ibijoke Children Foundation UK is a Liverpool-based charity organisation supporting children, young people, families and individuals experiencing poverty, financial hardship, food insecurity and other barriers to a stable and healthy life. We provide practical support through our emergency food bank and Cultural Community Food Pantry, distributing affordable and culturally appropriate food, fresh fruit and vegetables, toiletries, clothing and essential household items. We also provide information, advice and signposting around welfare, employment, financial resilience, energy costs, housing and other support services. Alongside our food support, we run activities that help people build confidence, skills and independence, including homework and digital inclusion sessions for children and young people, healthy cookery activities, job searching, CV and application support, employability advice and financial literacy. We also work with volunteers and community partners to make better use of surplus food and reduce food waste. We support people from diverse communities, including families, migrants and people facing financial hardship. We aim to provide a welcoming, respectful and inclusive service where people can access practical help without stigma. The support our organisation needs most is funding, surplus food and essential goods, to help us continue and strengthen our services for people in need across our community. Core funding would help us meet essential running costs and maintain our emergency food parcels and food pantry, advice, digital inclusion, employability, healthy cookery and community support services, ensuring that vulnerable children, young people and families can continue to access practical support when they need it. Our vision is to empower children, young people and families to thrive by meeting immediate needs while helping people build stronger, more financially resilient futures.

New Beginnings - Improving Lives CIC run's a mixture of different services right across Liverpool. We run Men and Women Mental Health Boxing projects. A City wide Foodbank Delivery service for those who are in extreme poverty. Some of those referrals may be people who have been placed by the City council in accommodation without cooking facilities although we are not funded by the Council. We have recently opened up a Community store in Tuebrook in a very deprived area selling surplus and damaged goods and very low prices, we also offer other services here too like Computer and WIFI access.
