The provision of emergency food for families in crisis across Warrington. Thousands of people across Warrington are struggling to feed their families and living in food poverty. 1 in 5 families that use our service are currently in employment and still struggling to make ends meet. Families are being forced to make impossible decisions between heating and eating. As the cost of living crisis bites deeper, our donations are decreasing as the number of people urgently needing to access our service is increasing exponentially. To plug this deficit in donations we are having to buy food in bulk to ensure that we can still meet the demand. This fund will ensure that we can survive the winter and continue to help our families in crisis.

Warrington VIP (Visually Impaired People) provides a much loved and valued service for the community by helping blind and partially sighted people come to terms with site loss and to live independently. We offer; Home visiting service Weekly lunch club Fortnightly dominoes club Advice for aids, welfare & devices to promote independence VIP are very proud to be celebrating 100 years since the charity was set up. When 23 year old Rex Furness was working in a laboratory in Crossfields. Rex was involved in a top secret development for the military when an explosion blew up in his face leaving him blind. Whilst learning to cope with life without sight, he thought of all the other people in the area living with the same problem as he had. He decided to make their welfare his chief concern. On January 23rd 1923, The Warrington, Widnes and District Society for the Blind was founded. A building was acquired in Museum Street which provided offices, a library and workshops, where members could make baskets, stockings and woven cane chairs. Payments from sales of goods were passed on to members who were considered unemployable, providing them with an income allowing them to contribute and feel valued. Rex passed away in 1971, aged 77, but his legacy lives on in Warrington Visually Impaired People. We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service! GRACE & HOPE SUPPORT CIC is a community organisation based in Runcorn (WA7) supporting vulnerable individuals and families facing financial hardship and food poverty. We provide free food support and practical assistance to those in need across Runcorn, Halton, Warrington and surrounding areas. We identify and support people through community referrals, outreach, local contacts and social media enquiries. Our mission is to reduce food waste, provide emergency support and build stronger communities. We are currently developing partnerships with FareShare and other local organisations to increase the amount of food support availab
