Staveley Foodbank is run and operated by Edge Ministries, a Christian mission organisation that both speaks of and demonstrates the love of God as seen in Jesus Christ. Staveley Foodbank is here to help people who are in need and are struggling to feed themselves and their family. We use food parcels as a way of opening up a lifeline of hope and help into our community and offer various other projects for people to get involved with- all run in the Edge Centre with the aim of providing a wholistic approach to facing life’s struggles. Wednesday Mornings are more than just a drop in opportunity for people to access food, we also provide a welcoming café environment where people are encouraged to take time to sit in the warm, grab a brew and chat to our friendly volunteers. We rely on donations from the public, as well as local businesses and are working very hard to collect from anywhere and everywhere. You can donate food directly to Staveley Edge Centre weekdays between 9am-4pm, or financially online via povertybreaker.uk

We are a community group Called Inspiring Inkersall Community Group and have been running since Dec 2019 . We have lots if events through out the week and on a Thursday we do a lunch club from 11.30pm to 4.30pm Free .We are a community group that was set up in covid,. After covid we held many events to bring positivity and togetherness back into our community from Easter bunny parade and Santa parade and even a local music day all from our own funding or kind donations from our community and businesses. In February 2023 we took over our local community rooms redecorated and furnished it that so it was a inviting space for our community. We now have a lot of classes held from this space some done by ourselves. On Thursdays we now offer a warm space we call lunch club to hopefully combat loneliness as well as providing warm drinks and meals all day so the children from our local school also go home with their belly's full.

Established in 1975, we have a rich history of competing in, and winning, local and regional competitions. A number of our swimmers have also competed in national events. Our experienced and qualified coaches offer a friendly and supportive environment in which our swimmers can develop to the best of their ability, whatever their starting point. From developing swimmers looking to start competing through to masters, our squads support a range of abilities. Our club is run and managed by a fantastic team of volunteers who put in so much hard work to make the club the best it can be for our young athletes. As a non profit organisation we rely solely on the support of parents, support from local businesses and various fundraising to keep the club running. Food and donations would be used to help support the clubs ongoing fundraising events in many ways. We regularly hold localised club nights in which all of our members, Parents & Carers come along together as a group. These events are fantastic especially for our younger members as they are supported by our older children giving them guidance and support helping them to become more confident in their sporting abilities and generally on the whole. Here we normally sell cakes, biscuits, sweet treats and drinks to raise money for the club. We also hold regular raffles at these events as this is one of our primary means of fundraising so any longer shelf life items would be fantastic for those. Any healthy items such as fruit and vegetables can be used directly by giving these out to the children after training to encourage a healthier lifestyle and to further support good nutrition and also help out any families who may be struggling financially. The club also holds larger events throughout the year such as our annual swimming meet and presentation evenings where we are always in need of donations of raffle prizes to help us raise money to support the club by covering pool fees and coach expenses for the remainder of the year. At these events we are also required to provide lunch for supporting officials of the events and so food items can be made use of this way. We would also like to introduce some larger fundraising events in the near future where we are hoping to sell entry tickets which include a food option for the event. Depending on the type of donations we could make use of items this way such as for buffets or for bbqs.
